Pepi Granat, MD — A Legacy of Compassionate Home-Based Family Medicine Serving Greater Miami, Homestead, and the Lower Keys

overview

Overview and mission

Dr. Granat has provided patient-centered family medicine with personalized care since 1971. Since January 2025, when we changed to only doing house call visits, our mission is to bring high-quality, accessible medical services to patients in their homes, delivering dignified, comprehensive care to all patients, including seniors, people with chronic conditions, and families who value convenience and continuity. We believe that the best medical decisions arise from understanding patients in the context of their daily environments — their homes, routines, and caregivers. Many of our patients have expressed their appreciation for our change to house calls only.

Why choose in-home care vs. clinic visits

Convenience and reduced stress

No need for transportation or waiting rooms, especially important for seniors and those with mobility constraints.

Reduced infection exposure

Home visits minimize exposure to community illnesses or viruses often present in clinics and hospitals.

Better context for care

Home assessments reveal environmental and social factors that affect health and adherence to treatment.

Faster intervention

Same-day and urgent house calls can reduce the progression of acute illness and avoid unnecessary ER visits.
